Terms of Service

Last updated October 2026

1. About these terms

NuRoute is operated by Amit Gupta, Eichendorffstraße 17, 10115 Berlin, Germany (see our Imprint). These terms govern your organisation's use of NuRoute's Cloud and Enterprise plans. By creating an account or using the service, you accept them on behalf of your organisation.

NuRoute is offered to businesses only. By creating an account you confirm that you are using NuRoute for your trade, business or profession (§ 14 BGB), not as a consumer.

2. The service

NuRoute is an inference control plane: it classifies each request, routes it to an appropriate AI model across the providers you've connected, enforces the policies your organisation configures (data residency, model allow/blocklists, budget guards, PII redaction), and records usage for billing and observability. NuRoute does not itself generate the model responses you receive; those are produced by the third-party AI providers your requests are routed to.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your organisation's account, including actions taken by team members you invite.

4. Plans

Cloud is self-serve and runs on prepaid credits. The fees that apply are shown in the dashboard before you buy credits. We may change them for future usage with at least 30 days' notice by email; credits already bought stay valid.

Enterprise covers self-hosted deployments with a custom SLA and commercial terms, arranged directly with us. Where an Enterprise agreement conflicts with these general terms, the signed Enterprise agreement controls.

5. Bring-your-own-key (BYOK)

If you connect your own AI provider API keys, you are responsible for the validity of those keys, for your own agreement with that provider, and for any costs the provider charges you directly. We encrypt connected keys at rest (AES-256-GCM) and never display them in plaintext once saved, but we do not control, and are not responsible for, the uptime, output, or policies of third-party AI providers.

6. Fees and billing

Credits are bought in US dollars by card through our payment provider, Stripe, and each purchase comes with an invoice. Usage is deducted from your balance as requests complete. A new request starts only while your balance is above zero; requests already running finish, so the balance may briefly go below zero, and that amount is deducted from your next top-up.

Credits don't expire. When you close your account, we refund unused purchased credits to the original payment method. Promotional credits (for example referral rewards) have no cash value and are not refunded. If you think a charge is wrong, contact us at support@nuroute.ai before disputing the payment with your card issuer, so we can investigate.

7. Acceptable use

You may not use NuRoute to generate or distribute unlawful content, to attempt to circumvent the policy or security controls your organisation or we have configured, or to resell access to the service without a separate agreement with us permitting it.

8. Data and privacy

Our Privacy Policy describes how we handle personal data, including prompt/completion content and how it is routed to third-party providers. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to submit any personal data contained in your own prompts.

9. Intellectual property

We retain all rights to the NuRoute software and platform. You retain all rights to the prompts you submit and the outputs you receive, subject to the terms of the underlying model provider.

10. Availability

We aim to keep the Cloud service available and reliable, but Cloud is provided without a formal uptime SLA unless a separate written agreement states otherwise. Enterprise SLA terms are set out in the applicable Enterprise agreement.

11. Termination

You may stop using the service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, including the acceptable-use provisions above. On termination, we retain data only as described in our Privacy Policy.

12. Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, our liability for damages is limited to the fees paid by your organisation in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, and we exclude liability for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability for intent, gross negligence, or injury to life, body, or health, where such limitation is not permitted under German law.

13. Warranty

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, to the extent permitted by applicable law. We do not warrant that any specific AI model provider's output will be accurate, complete, or fit for your particular purpose.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Germany. To the extent legally permitted, the place of jurisdiction is Berlin, Germany. Mandatory consumer-protection jurisdiction rules, where applicable, remain unaffected.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
